40 POINT AAA INSPECTION
FOUND MAIN ENGINE STRETCH BELT CAME OFF PULLEYS. ALSO FOUND DAMAGE TO IDLER PULLEY. WILL NEED TO REPLACE IDLER PULLEY, INSTALL NEW BELT AND CHECK ENGINE FOR POSSIBLE OVERHEATING DAMAGE.
REPLACED BOTH A/C COMPRESSOR BELT AND MAIN SERPENTINE BELT ALONG MAIN IDLER PULLEY. CORRECT ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL(ALMOST 1/2 GALLON. BLEED COOLANT CIRCUIT, FOUND SYSTEM CHARGING OK AT 13.8V AT IDLE.

SINCE ENGINE WAS RAN WITHOUT BELT, FOUND SIGNS OF ENGINE OVERHEATING, AND COOLANT OVERFLOWING OUT OF RESERVOIR(NO OVERHEATING FAULTS FOUND). AFTER ALL REPAIRS AND COOLANT LEVEL CORRECTED, CHECKED ENGINE WITH 5 GAS ANALYZER, FOUND AT IDLE HYDROCARBONS(HC) WOULD GO OVER 30 PARTS PER MILLION (PPM, NOK MAX 25 PPM), AND WHEN AT 2500 RPM FOUND AT 93 PPM, AND WHEN REVING ENGINE FOUND MAX VISUAL AT 144 PPM. DETERMINED ENGINE HAS INTERNAL DAMAGE WITH POSSIBLE HEAD GASKETS. SINCE CUSTOMER IS FROM OUT OF TOWN, VEHICLE STILL OK TO DRIVE HOME, BUT WILL REQUIRE MONITORING OF COOLANT LEVEL AND ENGINE TEMPERATURE. NOTE: ALSO USED BLOCK TESTER FLUID, FOUND ONLY A SLIGHT CHANGE IN COLOR, NOT COMPLETE CHANGE OF COLOR- LIGHT BLUE TO GREEN.

Confirmed customer concern. Scanned vehicle. Received codes: P0106, P0131, P0171, P1101, C0561, C0750, C0760, U0184, B1287. inspected live fuel trims. Fuel trims are maxed out at 25%. Performed smoke test on engine. Found two leaks, valve cover positive crankcase ventilation(PCV) and turbo intake hose. The PCV has internally failed and is leaking vacuum. Found TSB(Technical Service Bulletin) TSB#19-NA-114 and vehicle repair is confirmed to follow TSB. Found TSB #19-NA-101. Removed PCV bypass hose. Inspected for manifold non-return valve. Found valve is missing. Recommend valve cover, intake manifold, and turbo intake hose seal. Then re-test.

FAULT TRACE SYSTEM: ______ CODES RETRIEVED: P0300 engine misfire detected. P0521 engine oil pressure sensor performance P0523. Engine oil pressure sensor circuit hi. Removed engine top cover to gain access to all pressure switch inspected pigtail looks good. Jumped the gray wire with the tan and white wire to confirm wiring is good to instrument cluster and it is working. Also did a gauge sweep via a data scan tool.
Removed and replaced oil pressure switch along with the screened filter. With scan data tool can see all pressure displayed the same as the oil gauge race codes test drove vehicle at times can feel a slight miss at idle
