    • PERFORMED TRANSMISSION SERVICE. ALSO INSTALL NEW PILOT BUSHING(ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR) DURING TRANSMISSION SERVICE. CORRECT TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL AFTER REPAIRS. NOTE: FOUND ONLY NORMAL CLUTCH MATERIAL AND SOME FINE GRANULATED BRASS COLOR MATERIAL.
    • DISCONNECT AND CONNECT BATTERY GROUND CABLE, REMOVED AND RE-INSTALLED(R&I) FRONT ENGINE UNDER PANEL(OTHERS MISSING). DRAIN AND FILL ENGINE OIL AS NEEDED FOR REPAIRS. R&I AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, R&I FLEX PLATE ON ENGINE TO ACCESS ENGINE REAR MAIN COVER AND SEAL. REPLACED ENGINE REAR MAIN COVER AND SEAL AS NEEDED. CLEAN BACK OF ENGINE AS BEST POSSIBLE. CORRECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL AFTER REPAIRS. ROAD TEST VEHICLE, NO OTHER OBVIOUS LEAKS FOUND AT THIS TIME. NOTE: DURING REPAIRS TO REAR MAIN SEAL, INSTALLED NEW SHIFTER BUSHINGS SINCE TRANSMISSION OUT FOR REPAIRS. NO LABOR.
    • FOUND ELECTRIC WASHER NOZZLES ON HOOD NOT SPRAYING, AND HOSE WILL NOT STAY CLIPPED ON TO SPRAYER, WILL REQUIRE REPLACEMENT OF WASHER SPRAYERS AND HOSE FROM RESERVOIR.

    • FAULT TRACE SYSTEM: __XENTRY____ CODES RETRIEVED: 0522 CURRENT AND STORED, 1204,1200,0271,0064 STORED(ENGINE OFF) WITH ENGINE ON, ALL FAULTS CURRENT. PERFORMED CHECK OF VEHICLE, VERIFIED ENGINE NOISE AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. AFTER SHORT TEST, PERFORMED GUIDED TEST OF FAULTS, FOUND O522-LINAKGE BROKEN ON INTAKE MANIFOLD. FOR OTHER FAULTS, FOUND RATTLE LOUD WHEN INCREASING ENGINE RPMS. AND WHEN ACTIVATING CAMSHAFT SOLENOIDS, FOUND NO ACTIVATION POSSIBLE. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL, FOUND OK, AND CLEAN ENGINE OIL. INSPECT ENGINE OIL FILTER, FOUND OIL FILTER CAP BROKEN AND MISSING OIL GUIDE NECK. WILL NEED TO REPLACE OIL FILTER CAP, INSTALL NEW FILTER, PERFORMED OIL AND FILTER CHANGE AGAIN, RUN ENGINE AND CHECK FOR NOISE AFTER REPAIRS, ALSO WILL NEED TO RE-CHECK ENGINE OIL FILTER FOR ANY POSSIBLE ENGINE DAMAGE FROM DRIVING VEHICLE WITH DAMAGE OIL FILTER CAP. FURTHER DIAGNOSIS/ ENGINE REPAIRS MAYBE NECESSARY.
    • INSTALL NEW ENGINE OIL FILTER CAP AND FILTER, RAN ENGINE FOR 20 MINUTES THROUGH DIFFERENT RPM'S IDLE TO 3,000 RPMS. AFTER RUNNING ENGINE, DRAIN ENGINE OIL AND REMOVE NEWLY INSTALLED FILTER, CUT SECTION OF FILTER AND SQUEEZE OIL OFF FILTER TO INSPECT PAPER, FOUND VERY FINE GRANULATED METAL, NO LARGE SHAVINGS OR CHUNKS FOUND AT THIS TIME. SINCE SOME LIGHT FINE GRANULATED METAL WAS FOUND, RECOMMEND CUSTOMER TO HAVE ANOTHER OIL CHANGE DONE IN 1,000 MILES AND HAVE OIL FILTER RE-CHECKED AGAIN FOR ANY ABNORMAL METAL CONTENT, SO ENGINE INTERNAL CAN BE EVALUATED AS BEST POSSIBLE FOR ANY ENGINE DAMAGE THAT MAY HAVE OCCURRED DUE TO NO OIL PRESSURE UP TO CAMSHAFT ADJUSTERS/ ENGINE TOP END. ERASED ALL CODES AFTER REPAIRS, FOUND NOW CAMSHAFT ADJUSTERS OPERATING AS DESIGNED AT THIS TIME. RETURN VEHICLE TO CLIENT.

    • REMOVED AND RE-INSTALLED(R&I) DRIVERS UNDER DASH PANEL, R&I LEFT SIDE ENTRY THRESHOLD COVER, AND LOWER LEFT SIDE TRIM PANEL. REPLACED PARKING BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY. TRANSFER SPORT STYLE PAD FOR PARKING BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY AS NEEDED. CHECKED AFTER REPAIRS, FOUND PARKING BRAKE OPERATING AS DESIGNED AT THIS TIME.
    • REPLACED FRONT ROTORS AND PADS. INSTALL NEW WEAR SENSOR.

    • FAULT TRACE SYSTEM: __MB XENTRY____ CODES RETRIEVED: P0400(P2001) EGR CHAIN MALFUNCTION FAULT. CONNECT AND DISCONNECT BATTERY CHARGER(WEAK MAIN SYSTEM BATTERY) PERFORM SHORT TEST, FOUND DTC P0400 CURRENT AND STORED. PERFORMED GUIDED TEST OF FAULT, CHECKED EGR FUNCTION, FOUND EGR VALVE NOT ACTIVATING. PERFORM FURTHER TESTING, FOUND VACUUM TO EGR TRANSDUCER, BUT NO VACUUM TO EGR VALVE. MANUALLY APPLY VACUUM TO EGR VALVE, FOUND SYSTEM OPERATING. CHECKED VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO EGR TRANSDUCER, FOUND GOOD 12.1V, BUT FOUND VERY POOR GROUND CIRCUIT FROM ENGINE MODULE. LOAD TEST WIRING, FOUND VOLTAGE WIRE OK, AND GROUND WIRE ALSO OK FROM ENGINE MODULE TO EGR VALVE. DETERMINED MOST PROBABLE CAUSE IS EXCESSIVE AMPERAGE DRAW TO A FAULTY EGR TRANSDUCER MAY HAVE DAMAGE GROUND CIRCUIT INSIDE ENGINE MODULE. RECOMMEND TO REPLACE ENGINE MODULE AND EGR TRANSDUCER TO CORRECT ISSUE.
    • REPLACED 3RD BRAKE LAMP ASSEMBLY WITH CUSTOMER PROVIDED USED 3RD BRAKE LAMP ASSEMBLY, FOUND STILL NOT WORKING. CHECKED FOR POWER AND GROUND TO LAMP, FOUND GROUND OK, BUT NO POWER SOURCE TO LAMP. TESTED BOTH OLD AND CUSTOMER PROVIDED LAMPS, FOUND BOTH LAMPS WORKING OK AT THIS TIME. FURTHER DIAGNOSIS WILL BE REQUIRED TO DETERMINED CAUSE OF NO 3RD BRAKE LIGHT FUNCTION.
    • PERFORM HEADLIGHT RESTORATION OF BOTH FRONT HEADLAMPS.
    • REPLACED EGR VALVE, REPLACED EGR TUBE AND VACUUM LINE TO EGR TRANSDUCER. ALSO CLEAN CARBON BUILD UP AT PIPE INTAKE. CHECKED ACTUATION AFTER REPAIRS, FOUND EGR SOLENOID OPERATING OK AT THIS TIME. NOTE: DUE TO LOW AMPERAGE FROM GROUND SIDE, IF FAULT RETURNS, CUSTOMER HAS BEEN ADVISE WILL NEED TO REPLACE ENGINE CONTROL UNIT TO CORRECT FAULT.
    • CLEANED EGR PASSAGES
    • PERFORMED ADVANCE DIAGNOSIS; REMOVED AND REINSTALLED(R&I) TRUNK INNER LINE ON LEFT SIDE TO ACCESS REAR SAM MODULE. UPON INSPECTION, FOUND GROUND WIRE DAMAGE AND POWER WIRE CUT ON TRUNK LID HINGE POINT. FOUND VEHICLE HAS HAD PREVIOUS REPAIRS TO 1 WIRE, BUT HARNESS NOT INSULATED CORRECTLY WHICH CONTINUED TO CAUSED DAMAGE TO OTHER WIRES. REPAIR BOTH WIRES, RE-INSULATE HARNESS AND ADD FELT TAPE AROUND HARNESS AT MOUNTING POINT TO HINGE ASSEMBLY. ERASED CODES AND CHECKED FUNCTION AFTER REPAIRS, FOUND NOW 3RD BRAKE LIGHT WORKING PROPERLY AT THIS TIME.

    • FOUND VEHICLE ACCELERATING AND SHIFTING OK AT THIS TIME. PERFORMED SHORT TEST, FOUND STORED CODE 2768 IN TRANSMISSION MODULE FOR INTERNAL FAULT WITH N2 SPEED SENSOR IN TRANSMISSION. AS PER FAULT CODE DIAGNOSIS, DETERMINED INTERNAL ELECTRICAL FAULT WITH N2 SPEED SENSORS. WILL REQUIRE CONDUCTOR PLATE ASSEMBLY REPLACE TO CORRECT PROBLEM.
    • FOUND CONDUCTOR PLATE ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER FROM MERCEDES-BENZ AND NO ETA UPON AVAILABILITY. HAD TO REPLACE COMPLETE VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY, CORRECT TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL(REPLACED FLUID AND FILTER) PERFORMED TRANSMISSION ADAPTATION AFTER REPAIRS, FOUND NOW TRANSMISSION OPERATING AS DESIGNED AT THIS TIME. NOTE: PLEASE ALLOW 800-1000 MILES FOR TRANSMISSION TO ADAPT TO DRIVERS DRIVING HABITS.
    • PERFORMED CODING OF NEW VALVE BODY AFTER NASTAF APPROVAL.
    • REPLACED CENTRIFUGE COVER IN BACK OF PASSENGER SIDE CYLINDER HEAD. CLEAN AREA OF LEAKS.
